Chapter 6

"Huh?.. What?.. Stop shaking me!" Dan shoves the Imposter away as he regains focus of the outside world. "What is it with you and wanting to touch me every 5 seconds?"

"Well excuse me for being concerned over someone's wellbeing especially when they've zoned out randomly." The Imposter glares mildly irritated at Dan.

"It's only been twice and besides it's not like I asked you to care." Dan back talks while shaking his fist.

The Imposter rolls his eyes but quickly begins smirking again and shakes his head. "Even after that speech you still act like such a jerk."

Dan attempts to growl but instead his stomach growls ferociously. "..."
"Come on, let's go already. I don't think my stomach can handle waiting any longer."

"Sigh, alright. Get in, we'll go to Burgerphile. It isn't too far away." The Imposter announces before he climbs into the driver's side and closes the door.

"Sigh, fine." Dan replies he walks over to the passenger side, climbs in then shuts the door.

"Buckle up. This car goes pretty fast." The Imposter warns as he turns the ignition, starting the car which in turn gives a mighty roar.

Dan jolts at the sound of the roar then quickly buckles his seat belt while trying his best to not look startled. The Imposter chuckles at this as he puts the top down then shifts the car into gear.

"Here we go. Hold on tight." At that last warning they practically zoom out of the parking lot with the wind whipping through their hair.

Few seconds and some perfectly timed traffic lights later...

"Okay, we're here." The Imposter announces as they pull in to the parking lot. He carefully parks the car, puts the top back up, turns off the engine then turns to look at Dan and almost bursts in to another fit of laughter.
"Pfft, Dan? A-are you alright?"

In the passenger seat Dan is clinging to the seat, paralyzed in a mix of awe, panic, & exhilaration. A smile slowly creeps across his face a moment before he releases his grip on the seat to throw his fist in air and verbally express his excitement.
Unfortunately he ends up hitting the hard roof top which turns his yell of excitement in to one of ultimate pain.
"Ahh!! That was so stupid!" Dan scolds himself as he tries to comfort his aching hands.

"I can only imagine." The Imposter smirks as he shakes his head.

"Shut up! I don't need any of your sass right now. Can't you see I'm in terrible pain!" Dan emphasizes the last part by shoving his hands in the Imposter's face.

"Okay, okay. I get it."
"Let's go inside and see if we can get some ice on them, alright." The Imposter says as he gently pushes Dan's hands away with one hand while opening his door with the other.

"We better.." Dan turns to his door and attempts to open it but quickly retracts his hands as they are now in even more pain. "Ahh! Stupid door. Stupid roof! Stupid car!"
